Virginia is for Lovers Day at the General AssemblyVTC will host Virginia is for Lovers Day at the General Assembly Building (GAB) in Richmond on Thursday, Jan. 26, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing until approximately 11:30 a.m. VTC will offer coffee and Virginia travel information in the GAB lobby for legislators, their staffs and any visitors to the GAB that morning. The Virginia Film Office will also provide refreshments and show clips of films shot in the commonwealth. Virginia travel industry partners are welcome to join VTC staff that morning in greeting folks and talking up tourism! Contact: Judy Watkins, [email protected]

Virginia is for LoversVirginia Tourism Corporation is now offering a Virginia Music Festival Sponsorship grant program

Deadline for applications is January 24, 2017.
The VTC Music Festival Sponsorship Program is a funding source for established (non-startup) music festivals in Virginia to help grow music festivals in Virginia, increase visitation to Virginia communities, and to extend the Virginia is for Music Lovers brand. VTC funds can be used for any production aspects needed for the festival. Examples include entertainment costs, production costs, staging, etc.

The Virginia World War I and World War II Commemoration Commission (the Commission) was created by the General Assembly to plan, develop, and carry out programs and activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I and the 75th anniversary of World War II. The purpose of the Virginia World War I and World War II Tourism Marketing Program – administered by the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) – is to assist Virginia communities and related World War I and World War II sites to market commemorative events, locations, and destinations.
