Vibrant Communities Through Tourism Workshops
Join the Middle Peninsula Alliance and the Virginia Tourism Corporation for a series of Vibrant Communities Through Tourism Workshops designed for leaders and advocates of tourism as an economic driver in the Middle Peninsula of Virginia, and surrounding regions. Entrepreneur Express Seminar
Accessing resources is crucial for a small business to start and grow. But in these challenging economic times finding financing, new customers/markets and accessing help within state and federal government can be difficult.
This workshop is geared towards connecting small business owners as well as those who are thinking about becoming entrepreneurs, with programs and resources to help move your plans forward. The program includes interactive discussions and exercises covering key elements of business practices, hosted by Roanoke County and City business partners, Virginia Community Capital, and Virginia Tourism Corporation.

The Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Recreation program at Southwest Virginia Community College will provide training to develop a workforce for the outdoor recreation industry and to stimulate economic development. The Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Recreation programs, activities and events at Southwest Virginia Community College are a unique blend of entrepreneurship, tourism, and recreation. University of the Potomac Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management
The University of the Potomac (UOTP) offers a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (BS-HTM) degree that prepares students for managerial positions in the hospitality and tourism industry, as well as for the development of human resources in this field.
The UOTP is seeking to initiate Strategic Partnerships with organizations and businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry. Located in Northern Virginia and in Washington DC, classes are offered totally online.

- Work Study programs for students in the BS-HTM program
