The Director of Marketing Operations provides strategic direction on all projects, fiscal accountability and professional support to the entire marketing team as well as other divisions. Due to the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of marketing, it is essential to have one designated person that can be boots-on-the-ground, as well as a finger on the pulse of the division. The Director helps all of the VTC Marketing departments work more efficiently and smoothly as projects and activations are tracked and executed strategically and collaboratively. This position manages day-to-day marketing operations to ensure optimal workflow, best practices, follow up, and quality of work within deadlines.
The Director joins the Brand, Communications, and Digital departments to ensure messaging is consistent across all platforms.
Special projects, such as the VA-1 Tourism Summit, are managed by the Director of Marketing Operations.
Marketing Operations also oversees the retail sales and strategy for the Virginia is for Lovers merchandise.
