LOVE Lives Here

COVID-19 BRAND INITIATIVE

In addition to the overarching “We’ll Be Waiting” campaign, VTC is leveraging specific brand initiatives to keep our partners at the forefront of our ongoing message to consumers.

The “LOVE Lives Here” initiative brings partners, local businesses and consumers together to share an uplifting message of love while also inspiring visitation to the Commonwealth’s more than 200 LOVEworks when it is safe to travel again.

Questions? Contact Leah Harms.

BRAND STRATEGY

Love has been the foundation of Virginia’s travel message for more than 50 years, but we all know love has always found a home here.

In an effort to bring people together (while staying socially distant!), VTC is asking all Virginians to  create their own LOVE signs at their homes and share them on social media. We are also encouraging local businesses to create LOVE signs in their store windows.

Message: LOVE lives here.

Here in Virginia, it’s pretty easy to tell: we love LOVE. From our iconic Virginia is for Lovers slogan to the 200+ LOVEworks around the state, LOVE can be found in every corner of the Commonwealth. Now, we’re asking you to share the LOVE from home by making your own LOVE sign for all to see. Use sidewalk chalk or paint; flower petals or wine bottles; tree branches or household items – get creative! Whether it’s in your front yard, back yard or hanging in your windows, show the world some LOVE. We could all use a little more of it right now. Make sure to tag @visitvirginia and use #LoveVA!

Goals:

  • Support industry partners and local VA businesses
  • Facilitate partner and consumer engagement
  • Maintain a marketing presence
  • Drive awareness of the LOVEwork program

Audience: In State, Local

Timing: April 24-ongoing

Channels: Social Media, Website

JOIN THE
INITIATIVE

Share pictures of your DIY LOVE signs on social media using #LOVEVA and tagging @visitvirginia (Instagram) or Virginia is for Lovers (Facebook). Beginning April 24 and running for as long as is needed, we will share your images with our audience, encouraging our followers to join in with at-home LOVEs of their own.
