Adventure Tourism Manufacturing (ATM) is a joint economic development initiative to recruit manufacturers of outdoor-related tourism products to Virginia. The Virginia Tourism Corporation and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership are spearheading this initiative to enhance Virginia’s economy through building vibrant communities around the state’s extensive outdoor assets.
While spurring high-quality job creation and private investment in the Commonwealth, this partnership will also provide opportunities for new tourist experiences such as outdoor product demo programs and adventure-focused community partnerships.
Widely recognized as an outdoor lover’s paradise, Virginia offers more than 500 miles of the famed Appalachian Trail (more than any other state), 112 miles of coastline, 3,315 miles of tidal shoreline, and more than 3,000 miles of scenic roadways.
Virginia is also consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top states to do business, offering low corporate tax rates, a robust workforce, and a strategic East Coast location.
With an abundance of statewide outdoor offerings and a business-friendly climate, it is easy to see why Virginia is an ideal location for outdoor product manufacturers.
