    The Public Relations Department targets national, regional and in-state  media for promotion of Virginia as a premier travel destination. The department also disseminates tourism-related news to the Virginia tourism industry and works with the industry on generating media coverage.

    Bring LOVE Artwork to Your Destination/Event

    Virginia is for Lovers is about love – pure and simple. The Virginia Tourism Corporation has created oversized LOVE artwork (16 feet wide and 7 feet high) to promote the message that “Love is at the heart of every Virginia vacation.“

    The Virginia Tourism Corporation is offering the LOVE artwork on a first-come, first served basis for Virginia tourism destinations/events that promote family-friendly travel experiences.

    Create LOVE in Your Locality

    As part of the Virginia is for Lovers marketing campaign, VTC is encouraging local tourism offices to work with their local parks, destinations and attractions to create LOVE locally that can be used to promote family-friendly tourism experiences.

    Several destinations have already created LOVE manifestations – Primland Resort created LOVE using nearly 2,000 golf balls. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts spelled out LOVE with people dressed as mummies to promote the mummy exhibit.
