RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia is one of the coolest winter destinations on the East Coast, with mountain resorts, 130 wineries and whale watching getaways that will entice travelers with a passion for wine, snow sports, luxury and natural wonders.
To kick off the winter season, the Virginia Tourism Corporation has launched the Virginia Winter Fun Pick Your Passion Sweepstakes. Register online at www.Virginia.org/winter by January 11, 2008 for a chance to win. The sweepstakes is open to U.S. citizens 21 and older, including Virginians. One lucky grand prize winner will “Pick Your Passion” from the following four prize packages.
Hot Winter Fun and Wine Getaway
Win a three-day, two night stay for two at Wintergreen Resort, an 11,000-acre, four-season resort located in the Blue Ridge Mountains southwest of Charlottesville. The prize package includes two nights of deluxe accommodations, ski lift tickets and rentals for two days. The winner will also receive souvenir Virginia is for Lovers wine glasses.
Wintergreen is an ideal winter vacation spot, with more than 300 tastefully furnished studios, charming mountain villas, luxurious condominiums, skiing, snowboarding snow tubing, an award-winning tennis program, a full-service, mountaintop spa and a variety of dining options.
