During March in Virginia you can wear the green, visit the Easter Bunny, see the first spring blooms and sample fresh maple syrup.

Don your green for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Manassas, Fredericksburg’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2008 and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celtic Festival in Roanoke. See a “wee bit” of the Emerald Isle at the Shamrock Party on O’Plaza in Newport News.

Meet Peter Rabbit at Richmond’s Easter Weekend Featuring Peter Rabbit 2008. Enjoy more Easter activities at the Easter Decoy Show & Art Festival & Auction in Chincoteague and during Northern Virginia’s Town of Dumfries Spring Festival.

 

See spring burst out at the Daffodil Festival in the Chesapeake Bay and the Berkeley Boxwood Garden Tour. Dance to Dixieland music at the Mardi Gras at Wintergreen Resort, and hear authentic old-time and bluegrass music in the Blue Ridge Mountains during the Fairview Ruritan’s Old Fiddler’s Convention

Sample pancakes and other tasty treats at the Whitetop Mountain Maple Festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Highland Maple Festival in the Shenandoah Valley. Pick your favorite from punch creations prepared by local distilleries, restaurants and caterers at Alexandria’s Great Rum Punch Challenge.

Hear the roar of engines at the Martinsville Speedway NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Goody’s Cool Orange 500 and the thunder of hooves at the Spring Arabian Classic Horse Show in Lexington. Place your bid at the Horsepasture Ruritan Building Antiques and Collectibles Auction in Southern Virginia.
