Presidential Inauguration Projected to Boost Visitation in January – How can you take advantage?
January 2009 is quickly approaching and the Presidential Inauguration is expected to attract widespread interest and attention. Many of those visitors will seek assistance at one of Virginia’s twelve Welcome Centers – we expect to get requests for lodging reservations and sites of interest, just to name a few. During January 2005 Virginia Welcome Centers saw a 17% increase in visitation and we anticipate that this inauguration may yield record-breaking numbers. You can stretch your marketing dollars while gaining great exposure by scheduling a free Demo/Event day at a welcome center during this busy month. Remember, these travelers may not visit now, but they may remember you during their next stop in Virginia. For more information contact Jane Govoruhk at jgovoruhk@virginia.org.
