President's Notes

It is truly a busy and exciting time in Virginia - not the least of which is the official visit by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to The Commonwealth and the many events and activities surrounding Anniversary Weekend in May.

Recently, VTC kicked off our final phase of marketing America's Anniversary - our Thank You campaign. This campaign will be backed up with advertising, public relations and electronic marketing, but has a distinct viral strategy designed to get more people to become engaged in America's 400th Anniversary. As all of us are promoting the new attractions, improvements and activities in 2007, we ask that you go to our website and get as many potential travelers to become engaged in the "most intriguing story of America's history". And, just as the campaign suggests, "Thank You, tourism partner" for all that you do for our industry.
