    Best Marketing Foot Forward!

As many of you may know, in August of 2005 we ran out of the 600,000 published travel guides, which we reprinted to meet our demand for the remainder of the year. Also, for our electronic marketing strategy, we disseminate our eGuide which mirrors the content of the travel guide. I believe the increased demand for our travel guides reflects the success we have been enjoying with our integrated marketing and advertising strategy.

These flagship fulfillment pieces are key to inspiring tourism to and within The Commonwealth.  This year we published 800,000 guides and intend to reach a goal of disseminating 1 million guides by supplementing that distribution with 200,000 eGuides.

Thanks to all of you who support our travel guide.  This year we are featuring an interactive option for our readers so they can vote on their favorite Virginia tourism offerings. You can access this area at  www.virginia.org/favorites. We look forward to working with all of you to make 2006 a banner year for Virginia tourism.
