Studies Film Industry's Economic Impact
The total economic impact of the film and video industry in Virginia
exceeded $500 million in 2004, according to a landmark study by
the Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Public Policy. About
8,500 Virginians are directly or indirectly employed in the industry.
Companies that benefit from the film and video industry number 259.
This study shows that the film industry has a significant impact
