Norfolk FAM Tour - Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Join us at the heart of the Virginia Waterfront! It will be a fun-filled day of unique tourism products --from a Paddlewheel Ferry ride to a priceless collection of Tiffany glass. The Norfolk CVB will introduce attendees to a plethora of diverse tourism treasures while utilizing alternative transportation, like The Tide, Virginia's first light rail.

Visitor Centers: The New Future
Come to Norfolk and discover the evolving landscape of Virginia's Visitor Centers. This year's seminar, with its dynamic foundation, will have topics and issues driven by the questions our attendees have asked. These topics are sure to resonate with attendees and will be specifcally helpful for Visitor Centers.

Guest speaker, Cathy Morrison, who is both VP of Operations for the Newport & Bristol County CVB in Rhode Island and President of the New England Visitors Center Association, will be discussing the future of Visitor Centers and progressive ideas about boosting visitation.

In addition, VTC is proud to announce details on the first annual Trailblazer Award. Nominated by industry peers or localities, this award is designed to recognize a certified visitor center for excellence and creative accomplishment in tourism marketing and promotion, and to foster the development of imaginative and innovative marketing promotion programs and activities.
