Smithfield & Isle of Wight Tourism Highlighted During VTC's July Help Desk

THURSDAY, AUGUST 12, 2010

Virginia Tourism and the Smithfield and Isle of Wight CVB worked together to host a VTC Help Desk at the Smithfield Center. Both VTC and Smithfield staff met one-on-one with over 70 local and regional tourism businesses to assist them in developing their business and marketing plans. Businesses as far away as Northern Virginia, the Northern Neck, Williamsburg, Richmond and areas southeast of Smithfield came to get this valuable tourism development and marketing training. These businesses included dining, lodging, retail, outdoor, event and attractions. Businesses took advantage of Virginia Tourism’s education, development and marketing services and discussed best practices in reaching travelers, the media and increasing tourism visitation and spending.

VTC welcomed over 70 businesses at the Smithfield Center.     Attendees reviewed VTC's 18-month media plan with the Ad Team.
