How to add your images to Virginia.org
As previously announced, VTC is offering the chance for your locality to be one of the four cover images featured on a 2013 VIFL Travel Guide. The lomography image which most embodies the spirit and creativity of the lomography lifestyle will secure that community one of four 2013 Travel Guide covers. VTC must receive your images for consideration by Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Here’s how to submit your images and description info to VTC:
You will be submitting a Suggested Itinerary - much like a group tour itinerary. See this for an example - http://www.virginia.org/Listings/SuggestedItinerary/GoingOldSchoolinFredericksburg/ (you will have many more images than what is in this sample, however)
- Submitting your images is the same, familiar process as submitting a listing on www.Virginia.org
- Sign in with your user login and password to the www.Virginia.org website
- Once logged in, select Add a New Listing and choose the Suggested Itinerary option
- Add your visitor center or a central location as the address for the listing. Click Next Step.
- Select Multi-day or Single-day and then Choose Old School for your subcategory (only choose Old School). Click Next Step
- Write your description to include What your image is, Where it is located, and Why it is so unique, authentic and warrants visitation - an itinerary. Click Next Step.
- Browse to Upload each of your images.Be sure to give each image a title and alt tag. The title is what appears under the image on the site.
- Click Next Step. Preview your listing to see how it will look. Then be sure to click Confirm and Submit to submit it for our review. You can select Advanced Options if you want to connect other listings you may have with the itinerary. The listings with your images will appear here on the site - http://www.virginia.org/directory/suggesteditinerary/OldSchool/
