Halifax/County South Boston Area Tourism Highlighted During VTC’S August Help DeskVirginia Tourism and Halifax County/South Boston Tourism Department held a successful day of Outreach & Training in South Boston on August 19.

Community Reception
Members of the tourism business community welcomed VTC staff at The Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center. The event was hosted by the Halifax County/South Boston Department of Tourism.
The Molasses Grill hosted VTC staff for dinner with local tourism and business representatives.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19
VTC Help Desk
Virginia Tourism met one-on-one with over 60 local and regional tourism businesses to assist them in developing their business and marketing plans. These businesses included dining, lodging, retail, event and attractions from South Boston and surrounding areas. Businesses took advantage of Virginia Tourism’s education, development and marketing services and discussed best practices in reaching travelers, the media and increasing tourism visitation and spending.
